Register Exemptions: Spring 2008

 

Read these directions before you register

Before you attempt to register:

  1. Check the posted lists to see that you have exemptions. The Jr. and Sr. lists are at the top of the center stairway--Jrs. to the left and Srs. to the right. Please note, if any corrections need to be made to the list, see Mrs. Carr immediately or before the end of the day on May 16th.

  2. You must know your Username and password and have successfully logged on to PLD’s network prior to registering.

Registering your exemptions:  You can only register exemptions at school on our network.

  1. Click on the link below to register. (This link will be activated when the registration window opens; May 12, 2008)

  2. Click on the rElements Exemptions link.

  3. Type in the Username and Password you use to log on to the computers here at school.

  4. At the top of the page, you will see the number of exemptions you have. Below that, you will see your classes.

  5. Click in the box next to the class you wish to exempt for this semester. Sr. exemptions do include any exemptions you may have received from On Demand writing.

  6. Click the Save/Change button. Do not exit the page or program until you have seen the confirmation message at the top of the page, "Exemptions Updated."  If you don't see this message, the exemption has not been registered.

  7. When you have seen the confirmation message, you may safely exit the program by clicking on the Log out link at the bottom of the page.

  8. Teachers will be sent a list of all students who are exempting their class as of the cut-off date. You will have class time to confirm with your teachers any exemptions you registered. If you have any doubts, be in class the A or B day before your scheduled final. Your teachers will be the final liaison. 
  9. If you change your mind about which classes to exempt, you may go back into the program, uncheck a class/classes or check a class during the registration window (5/12/08-5/19/08 @3:20 P.M.). Just remember to click on the Save/Change button after you have made the changes and wait for the confirmation message. If you do not see a confirmation message at the top of the page, the change has not be registered in our database. Let Mrs. Carr know (before the registration window closes) of this technical problem; the registered information that is in our database is final.
  10. Finally, do not wait until the last minute to register.

If you have problems:

  1. Can't log in: Double check to see that you have correctly typed in your username and password. Remember: you can only register your exemptions at school.
  2. Know you have an exemption but can’t register (you get error messages when trying to register):  see Mrs. Carr before the deadline (May 19 @ 3:20 P.M. Remember: You can only register exemptions at school.
  3. A class you want to exempt is not there to exempt: See Mrs. Carr before the deadline.
