Here is the schedule we would follow if Fayette County is closed, has delays, or early dismissals:

In the event of bad weather

If we were ever snowed in so that our buses couldn’t travel into the neighborhoods for an extended period of time but main roads in Lexington were passable, then the alternate snow routes plan might be activated.

Much like how LexTran runs a different schedule when some roads are bad and others are not, this would allow drivers to go to schools and transport students safely.

Snow routes: PDF version | in Excel (choose school tab at bottom)

Please keep in mind that these routes are alternate pick-up and drop-off locations. In some instances, the bus stop location will be the same as the one your child currently uses. In other cases, the stop location might be different.

Schools will operate on a normal start and dismissal schedule unless otherwise announced.

The routes are at this link: http://www.fcps.net/administration/departments/transportation/alt-snow-routes
