I'm having trouble
printing to the library at school. |
While you are at school, copy this link
\\pld-apps\PLD-LIBB.
Click Start and Run and paste the
link into the window. Then click OK and a window will open.
Once the window is open you can close it.
Now you will be able to choose the Library B
Printer. |

I can't browse the
web outside of school. |
Do this at home, the public library, or wherever
you have wireless access.
Open Internet
Explorer
On the Menu Bar
Click on Tools
Click on Internet Options
Click on Connections
Click on LAN Settings
Unclick the box next to Use A Proxy Server for
your LAN.....
Now you should be able to browse the Web. Make
sure to reclick the proxy server when you are
using the laptop at Dunbar. The proxy
server at school should be cen-wf01 (that's a
zero) and port 80. |

My mini says that
it won't shutdown due to profile size. |
Start
Run
Shutdown –l (Lower case L) |

My laptop has
locked up. |
Hold Power Button in for 10 seconds until all
the lights go out.
Turn it back on and login |

I shut my laptop
down, but when I come back to it, the battery is
dead. |
Make sure that when you shut down you are
waiting for the screen to go black. If you
choose to shutdown and then close the laptop
before the process is finished, it will go to
stand-by which will drain your battery. |
