Commonwealth Diploma
The commonwealth diploma is a special recognition diploma given to students who have completed above and beyond the pre-college curriculum by successfully completing at least four AP courses in specific content areas as well as taking the AP Exam in specific areas. AP courses must be taken in each of the following content areas: English, Math, or Science, Foreign Language, and one additional course. AP Exams must be completed in three or four content areas. In addition, Kentucky will reimburse students for the cost of 3 AP Exams, if they have a composite score of 8. For additional information, visit the

Individual Learning Plan
The Individual Learning Plan (ILP) is a state requirement for all high school students. This document helps students track their high school career and plan for their future. Fayette County students can access their ILP online and should update their ILP regularly. If kept updated, the ILP can be a valuable resource when when completing job applications, and scholarship applications.
